Eurofest 8 landed on a cold, overcast day. It was the kind of Calgary September morning where you check the forecast twice and grab a jacket anyway. The weather didn't cooperate. Nobody seemed to mind

Eight years in, Eurofest is still about what it was on day one: cars people genuinely care about, and the owners who look after them.

This is also the month people start pricing tires ahead of the changeover. So it's worth understanding what you're actually buying.

A run-flat gets you to a shop once. Then it gets replaced.

That's not a defect. It's how the tire is designed. But most owners find out at the counter rather than at purchase, and by then the decision has already been made for them.

There's a version of this conversation that only happens between people who do track days. Suspension geometry, brake bias, power-to-weight ratios. If that world isn't yours, it's easy to assume performance upgrades aren't either.

That assumption costs a lot of Calgary drivers more than they realize.

On May 30th, we hosted a fundraiser car wash at Sheni's Auto Trend. The idea was simple: bring your car in, make a minimum $50 donation to the National Kidney Foundation of Canada, and our team would detail it fully, inside and out. Every dollar raised would go directly to the Foundation.

European cars are precise machines. The engineering is specific, the diagnostics are different, and the service requirements don't always match what a general shop is set up to handle well. That doesn't mean your options are limited. It just means the decision of who looks after your car is worth thinking about carefully.

Not every shop is the right fit for every car. And if you drive a BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, or Land Rover, that distinction matters more than it might for other vehicles.
